I am very grateful that my sister and I, out-of-town sellers at two separate locations, met Amy, who helped us through a very long and complicated process of a Probate Sale of a condo. Amy is the ultimate role-model of professionalism. She gets to know you and finds out your goals and will be there every step of the way; sharing her precious gift of time, presence, expert knowledge, wisdom, patience, resourcefulness, perseverance, her compassionate/caring big heart, and hard work. She has a Can-Do attitude and guided my sister and me through a long road, fraught with challenges and stumbling blocks. She helped us find a buyer who would appreciate the place as we have, and sell the condo at a much higher price than what we had expected. Because of the remaining lease of our tenants and the court’s requirements, it took us eight months to sign a listing agreement. Throughout those long months, Amy was there for us in spite of not having a listing agreement. She interacted with and supported the tenants. She took the initiative to get quotes and worked with me and the HOA to embark on and complete a long-overdue building maintenance project that was a source of potential buyers’ concern. Above all, she carried out the usual tasks of sellers such as determining how best to fix/improve the unit, picking out the ‘right’ material/color/style, engaging a contractor and overseeing the project. Once the unit was listed, she took time to meet prospective buyers and their realtors to explain the Probate Sale process and our goals (i.e., to provide a clean blank canvas to allow a buyer to move in and create a home with his/her/their personal improvements, find a buyer who would appreciate and enjoy the home for a long time). She used her networking and people skills to quickly identify multiple buyers, who truly wanted the unit and made offers above listing price, and subsequently competed over the unit. After delays and waits that come with a Probate Sale, the sale confirmation court hearing resulted in even higher price than the original price we had accepted. Amy carried us through so many challenges, listening to us and reminding us that all would work out as long as we kept hope and did things right for prospective buyers. We are so grateful to have had her guide us through this difficult project with the best possible result.
